Yes, thats why he gets disconnected. SSM moddings soul purpose is to find ways around the game engines "limitations"

You can use BC and ED42 to find locations and such but you cant use the maps they produces directly, the same time you press the save button it messes up the mapstructure somehow that make it useless for SSM mods

To truly test online functionality, you need to start a dedicated server locally and then connect to it with your game. This is as close as possible to a real online server environment, at least the networking works all the same. Should be a specific .exe for that in your game folder.

Also if you keep modified map files in your EA game directly they will work for you when you test on a server, but no one else will be able to join as they dont have modified map in their directory, it will work for you as it is the same as you having downloaded map CCM. keep your modded maps elsewhere
