Can this be a viewport loading issue?

Have you looked in the settings if there is some different Graphic Modes you can use?

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I tried every one of the graphics modes and they all produced the same result.

Which 3DS Max toolkit should I use on Max 8? Is it the one included in BF MDT or the one that Senshi made?
[Edit] I found Senshi's tool. I'm not sure how well it will work but I'll try it.

[Edit again] Yep, I got an error. I was exporting my model from 3DS Max 8 to make my SM and RS files for a new StandardMesh, and this error popped up:
