Better textures

Post by jdc527 »

Hey so how can we get the better land textures that DICE used on their maps? I try blending on my maps with the default palette of options but it always looks like shit. I've seen some modded maps have great palettes, such as Reichsbahn. Is there a way to pull these original palettes or textures from the game/bc42? Or am I just stuck?

It seems the textures in that map weren’t generated in BC but with intricate noise layers in Editor42. This is another program for mapping, with far more advanced texturing capabilities.

I see. That is what I figured, as a lot of modder made maps have texturing similar to DICE original textures, which I really want to replicate. Having some fun a nd luck in ED42, but I can't find a way to save the textures I have created to save as a .bmp, only a text file that crashes ed42 after trying to open again.
