Export a group of buildings

Post by Khaine »

Hi all,

I wonder if it's possible to select a group of buildings (for example a whole village, or a mainbase), copy it, and paste it in an other map.
There is a nice little village in a map A, and I would like to put the same village in a map B. It would be faster than trying to put all buildings and objects one by one.

And also is it possible to rotate the whole group of buildings ?

Thanks :)

Battlecrap has a scene editor (F12) where you can select the entire village, save as a new template, and place again (with or without the terrain height/materials)...

So it works, I manage to copy a whole flag. However I still have a problem. Do you know if it's possible to rotate the whole selection of buildings around one single point ?
Check my drawings if it's not clear :

I've run into the same problem. So I just rotated them correctly and moved them separately into their correct position. I haven't found a way around it because I think the editor rotates every object separately. If you used a 3D modeling program and basically merged all of the buildings into one 3D model then your rotating issue can be fixed. That is the only solution I am aware of.

Well, use graphing formulas. All I can really say about that.
A picture is worth a thousand words, but takes up three thousand times the memory.
