Hi xxSaboteur,

its amazing you are work on Battlefield 1942.
The public news is set up for morning.
I just hope you did some improvement you like in this mod.
That give us more content to create a news out there, for let this game in conversation. :)

1.01 update.
Some minor gameplay fixes: tank ammo, rifle and MG zoom, BAR and snipers spread. 2 out of the 3 submods got removed... Gun sights are now available in the normal game mode (PCO slot 2, if you're not accustomed yet). Guadalcanal major update.
- Weapon panel fix (optional). Removes the popping up weapon panel at the bottom of the screen. It probably won't work for you if you use mouse wheel to select the weapons.
Before installing a newer version I recommend you to delete manually the following folders: Mods\GM1942D, Mods\GM1942NB. These mods are gone, and no guarantie to work properly.

1.12a

- Increased bullet and projectile velocities (I finally give up to make it feel decent with the old ones, this one makes the weapons a little more satisfying).
- Bonus for sloped armor (Sherman, T34, some others).
- Sherman Jumbo now provides to the allies with a heavy tank.
- Some rollbacks to the previous versions.
- Now handles grenades as in the original. Bots were throwing them too quickly, so I decided to fall back to the original style.

I'm also releasing some additional maps, which I decided not to include to the main pack (some are unfinished, some just don't feel right). Maps in this pack: Battleaxe, El-Alamein, Gazala, Omaha Beach, Wake. As usual they are just modified derivatives from the original ones...

Haven't got much time on improving this, though here is another one version... (with no many changes though)
- Experimenting vehicle speeds for this version. I tried to slow them down, and IMHO it gives a different feeling....
- Player hitboxes are turned back temporarily (2 hits from a rifle). The intermediate system feels rather questionable... and you still die too quick. Perhaps nothing better can be invented here. (It was an attempt to increase the value of a rifle, they feel just useless with 2 hits).
