Re: Battlefield 1942 Mod Tools

Re: How do you remove tiled textures on your surface maps?

The tile effect comes from the detail.dds (bump map). See inside your RFA file: bf1942/levels/YOUR_MAP/textures/details.dds That file is applied onto your ground textures to give impression of detail in the terrain. It is normally repeated as in tiled like you see on your map (by the game engine). T...

Re: Generating a Battlecraft 1942 ".lst" file with bf1942_r.

I got curious about your question, and it would make sense to implement that in the debug executable. Especially considering all the other generating stuff they built in. So I did some "analysis" on the executable and found a reference to ".lst". Unfurtunatly it seems to be used ...

Re: My BF1942.exe will not run?

Good find! Read up a bit on the patch, and it disables the copy protection drivers used on a lot of older games. Clearly we have no choice but apply no-cd patches for older games or we end up with a worthless game down the track. Even if you uninstall this patch to make it work for now, windows will...

Re: My BF1942.exe will not run?

The missing bfcprt.dll is made by Dice so you gone need that, and msvcr70.dll (dependency if you dont have it in the games folder already). Extract to: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\" bfcprt.dll, MD5: F93E635197D20BF681CCF65CC9D6D20B msvcr70.dll, MD5: 9972A6ED4F2388DBFA8E0A96...

Re: My BF1942.exe will not run?

Had a look at the Registry to what keys where are actually being used by bf1942.exe and .dlls (below). The ergc would contain the cd key. You could recreate the keys and see if that makes any difference. But the funny part is that my game started without them!! Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [...

Re: My BF1942.exe will not run?

From the top of my head: RFA AND MODS FOLDER The most common problem I have with a functioning Battlefield 1942 install that suddenly crashes with no heads-up is usually putting dodgy RFA files in the wrong location and references. Like putting an Interstate82 RFA into DesertCombat folder etc. GENER...

Re: Automatic Targeting and fire with Vulcan

Thanks Apache Thunder.. Took me a while to download Interstate82 and get it up and running. The skyline looks amazing! and driving on the ground really doesnt do your map justice, must have take a long time to make. Heading of to Europe for a month in a weeks time, but once I get back I will look in...
