Re: Acer Aspire One netbook & bf1942
thanx for the help everyone! I gave up on the unit tho. It just lags bf far too much, even at the lowest vid settings at 800x600 16bit. Its a great little unit for the internet & typing/coding, but it chokes on 64 player bf games. Plus the SSD (solid state drive) is a serious problem with win xp...

Re: Acer Aspire One netbook & bf1942
Good call on the debugger! Although the spillout doesn't seem to give any answers to me. The spillout is very small & here it is. BFMainNewRend\Setup.cpp(3484): Debug: BFMainNewRend: BF1942 (Ver: Thu, 29 Jan 2004 11:34:56) BFMainNewRend\Setup.cpp(3485): Debug: BFMainNewRend: Running on computer ...

Re: Reflections & collision meshes
well i must have smoked some crack in my sleep... because i don't recall ever seeing this reflection on the sniper scope lens. Wow! Strange! Maybe i updated my vid card drivers or something. I know ive seen some glassy looking effect on some vehicles which i suppose is this env mapping effect. So ca...

Acer Aspire One netbook & bf1942
I just picked up this little Acer Aspire One AOA110 lappers from work for $50 & bf 1942 doesn't seem to load on it. When i go to start bf the game starts up like theres an incorrectly named or corrupt map. It doesn't crash, give any message... just doesn't load anything, like ive got a corrupted...

Re: Reflections & collision meshes
alright Pinky says this new collision mesh isn't gonna effect the performance of the game & i trust him because he's a smart dude. The question is answered. Im still confused about this reflection business in my sniper scope though. I can't believe that i haven't noticed this before. It seems to...
