Step 1: Spawn on the map with an automatic weapon.
Step 2: Pull out your automatic weapon.
Step 3: Click the fire button. Once three rounds are fired, release the fire button.
Step 4: Repeat as necessary until reloading is needed.

That would be ... an outrageously sweet mod. Similar to Empires, where you can build crap on the map. But better, I suppose.

EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf19422 It looked as if it were a mod itself, so I just put the downloaded folder in the "Mods" folder. But all the download has are RFA files for the Archives folder. After that failed, I just put the RFA files in place of the original BF1942 RFA files. It s...

You would have to create a second weapon. Like in my mod, I have a weapon kit with a fully automatic MP5SD in slot 3 and a semi-automatic MP5SD in slot 2. You can also set them to share ammunition. You also should put the "Objects.con" scripting in one single ".con" file. My MP5S...
