I don't think it would work like that. I've tried that, and mods like FH and BG42 have changed material IDs, for example, the Tiger 2 from FH, as far as BF 1942 vanilla knows, the front is jeep, sides are plane wing, and the rear is battleship armor. (lol, wut?) so, he has to modify all the vehicles...

This a mod that just throws a bunch of great mods together so you can enjoy everything about them all at once.
