I'm aware of what the symptom is, but I do not know why this happens for you with Max11, as I don't have those problems with Max12 and 13, and there shouldn't be any real differences between 11-13 in that aspect. That's why I'd like to track this down.

As I said, seems it messes up the .rs export for you, for some reason. I'm not really sure why, though.
Again, does this also happen if you import and reexport a vanilla BF42 model? If yes, then please upload me one of your new .sm files so I can take a look at what is going on.

Good point, Swaffy. I think I never even tried what happens if you export with Standard materials in Max8+ . In Max7 they usually get properly converted to BF_RS.

I have absolutely no idea, works flawless for me in Max12 and 13.
Can you try importing and reexporting a random vanilla object? E.g. the bf109 fuselage?
If that one works, it's probably an issue with your unique model. In that case please upload your problematic version so I can test it on Max13.

It's simple. Most forums only allow a limited default set of attachment formats. pack your .sm in a .zip/rar and you should be good.

Please upload the .sm files in question. The matIDs for the individual elements are stored inside the COL-mesh, so we have to edit that. If you want to be fully autark, you could either look and try to grab a cheap old Max version like 7. Or get GMax. GMax is the retarded little brother of 3ds Max, ...
