Re: Fokker D.XXI

Creating a UV Map is usually called "unwrapping" in 3d modeler "slang". It is way easier to say and read, and it also makes sense: The whole point of an UV map is to have a 2D representation of the 3d mesh surface. Like unwrapping a dice paper model, for example. It's mainly for ...

Re: Fokker D.XXI

I doubt retracing the exact way that I followed to blend the wings and the fuselage is really worthy to be recorded or serve as a tutorial for anyone, really ;) . I simply put in about 20 hours of work on that area alone, trying different approaches until I finally found a suitably sufficient method...

Re: BF 2142 Invalid CD key

When it's already in use, another player is already online with the very same CD-key. Either your friend plays with the same key at the same time, or for some reason the key has been leaked and who knows else is playing the game with it. Not much to be done about it, and I seriously doubt anyone wil...

Fokker D.XXI

http://i.imgur.com/8ypAyhyl.jpg (click images for full resolution) I've been working on this on and off every couple of weeks for quite some time (=months) now, it's a nice project to develop some 3d modeling skills and I just love the plane ;) . Also, it's a surprisingly relaxing task. This is my ...

Re: Problems with Single Player(creating bots)

there are various (extensive) tutorials here on how to get maps working for bots. It's not easy, but there's a lot of information on that topic here, on bfsp and Google.

Re: Bullet Vapor Streaks

That looks pretty awesome and realistic. I'm surprised at how strong the effect is in terms of immersion. Congratulations.

Re: Vehicle rips

The reason why most mod and even game devs hav their license say "use for personal use, but no redistribution at all" is that there's absolutely no way of verifying what you are doing on your local computer anyway. Why cause small-time-dabblers or wanna-learners to feel bad for looking at/...

Re: Vehicle rips

Most modders don't care if you rip their stuff for personal use. It only becomes a problem if you want to redistribute a "new" mod that has their content in it, without their approval.

Re: Quick question about tracers.

http://bfmods.com/mdt/scripting/CRD.html Cant' be better explained than that, I think. It's funny how many modders still use CRD_NONE, even if the MDT always has stated that CRD_NONE is pretty much useless, as you can just write the number itself as well: "This sort of CRD can be directly repla...
