Re: set up map in 3ds max

Kewl, think you could do a tutorial perhaps? the last time I did this, and mind you it was a script, was 8 to 9 years ago in Max 5? Anyhow I would love to learn more about the modeling side of the game as most of my focus has been ai and mapping.

Re: New to modding

I was just making a joke to lighten the situation Senshi, but I truly understand your plight first hand. I can name another common question and that would be how to properly pack a map. I wrote this very complete and noob prof WinRFA tutorial and am always having to direct people to it, though it's ...

We are guilty as charged Senshi for not first searching for resources ...

Re: set up map in 3ds max

By the way there was a tool long ago and I think it was "Presidents BF import tool" or something like that, and I had a copy and lost it. Never found another copy to date. He had a tutorial and there was one on Merciless Creations as well on how to import your map and statics into Max for ...

Re: New to modding

The 3D max import tool is in the Battlefield MDT ver 2.75. It's not for 3Dmax 2010 but might work. If not I am sure someone here has a import tool for the newr versions of Max or do an internet search. I know modders doing BF2 and using newer versions of Max are import - exporting bf1942 models. You...

Re: First time map making help

We sure need a good total and comprehensive battlefield 1942 and Vietnam mapping tutorial don't we. This member might have stayed and learned then perhaps passed it on to others if we had had the tutorials needed. One of two things happened as they always do. I see a lot of this over at bfsp. Timbo ...

Re: Recreate the water effect on a plane mesh

Totally interesting stuff. I know nothing of Animated Bik Textures so please, elaborate and give me some research material. I ask again about the watermeshes from bfv? The rain and animated detail texture thing is freaking awsome!!! I must learn to do this, and I seem to remember Apache has snow wor...

Re: Smallones

I am struggling to come up with a way to explain this in an unambiguous way, and it is difficult to say the least. It always has been, and this is the reason behind this thread along with others I plan to start here, and at bfsp. Your asking very good questions, but like others you have the wrong im...
