Re: [Trustable] Mod Files Hosting Service?
I have unlimited disk space and bandwidth on my hosting services. I can set you up with a subdomain and ftp if you need on either BFSP or cajunwolf.com.

Re: BF42 Wont Launch after Packing Map in Gmake...
Kewl! I want to do a mapping tutorial and had mentioned something about it in another post. I am speaking of a total comprehensive mapping tutorial showing use of BC and ED42 along with adding AI. As an experienced mapper you would be of great help. Basically I am going to post in threads on various...

Re: Smallones
Ok Swaffy, I see you have already started a thread, kewl. As I mentioned in the other post from the wee hours I will give a brief explanation here as a prelude to the mentioned tutorial. This can be a complicated topic and a lot of background knowledge of the Battlefield AI is a prerequisite to full...

Re: Battlecraft shadow glitch?
reegad, I have seen this issue come up in forums for years so it's something that does happen. You don't have to re shadow the whole map, just the area in question. Be sure and let us know when you do try again and what the problem is.

Re: Battlecraft shadow glitch?
Totally kewl Senshi! Yes you should add the additional feature. I use the cmd or console features as I make .bat files to do everything. Remember that I am an old fart (be 59 Dec 14th) so I still love my DOS batch files. I tell ya what I really need and that is an easy way to properly convert the 8 ...

Re: Howdy, it's cajunwolf from over at BFSP.
Howdy Swaffy and thanks for the welcome. Sorry for the delayed reply, but earning a living is tuff and getting worse all the time. About the time I get home for the day, complete my final task, shower, and eat I am falling asleep. I have managed to get in a little mapping and prep work for some tuto...

Re: Battlecraft shadow glitch?
That might be your problem as I often have trouble with dds to tga conversions in PS. BF42 seems to be picky about it's tga files to say the least. Do you have the Nvidia undxt tool? I will ad a link to it just in case. It runs from it's included batch file, simply drop all your texture .dds files i...

Re: Battlecraft shadow glitch?
Did you create the tga tiles in your shadowworks folder from your texture tiles you textured in ED42? Remember that when you surfacemap in Battlecraft it creates a set of the terrain texture files in tga format in the shadowworks folder and these are used to crate the terrain lightmaps and then merg...

Re: Many questions about bf1942 modding
Good post and some good answers. I think the best advice has been given ERYL, and that is to create your mod, try your ideas, and ask questions along the way with details on what you have done so far. Also in your questions on what can and cannot not be done, give us some kind of reason behind the b...

Re: BF42 Wont Launch after Packing Map in Gmake...
First, explain what you mean by that "glossy" look you were supposed to get from packing the map. This doesn't make sense as all your doing is packing the extracted map into a compressed refactor file so the game engine can run it. Packing adds no effect at all to the map. I found the tuto...
