Battlefield 1942 open-source ?

Hi, I'm the developer of BGA , a replacement tool for WinRFA. I found that the RFA archive format is using the LZO compression/decompression algorithm to compress data into the archive. After some research, you can find that LZO is an open-source library licenced under the GPL , for more information...

Patching animations.rfa

Hi, I'm trying to add the soldier sprint code to only one map but puting it in the init.con of the map doesn't work. So I tried to add it in a patched animations.rfa of the DC_Final mod but apparently "animations_001.rfa" is not read by bf1942 at launch. Any idea on this? why _00x patching...

Re: DC Unauthorized v3.3 ready for combat!

Hi Apache! I really like your mod, it's a great compilation. If you want polish it these is some glitches I found: - 90% of US Cars parachuted in Bashrah Edges explode on ground contact. - US Humvee (always in Bashrah Edges) explode after a small jump - Civil cars in Bashrah Edges (the one which fol...

Ah ok, maybe it was because the same file was already opened by another app like winrfa or even bga

Re: Battlefield 1942 Mod Tools

What do you mean by Battlefield Vietnam support ? I thought that RFA archives were the same, I just tried one downloaded on the net (AIEV MOD V1.0) and it open without any problem but maybe I miss something?

Re: Battlefield 1942 Mod Tools

I added a "sort by column" but I dont think it's really usefull due to the "folder dependancy".
About the file type property, you can use find (CTRL+F) to show only specific files (eg: *.con; *.dds)

Re: Battlefield 1942 Mod Tools

Yop senshi! Thanks for your feedback! Browse folder is now smarter, it will allow you to directly copy/paste a full path. Base path has also been added (can be disabled if neccessary by unchecking the property) with "Pack directory". Now, you can create a new folder (warning, an empty fold...

Re: Battlefield 1942 Mod Tools

Hi, I'm back.

Thanks for your comments!
If you have downloaded BGA, please download the latest version if you use it, older one will corrupt RFA archive in some conditions.

Re: Battlefield 1942 Mod Tools

Hi every one, I made a new tool to replace WinRFA (that really upset me by not opening archive file when associated whith it) name BGA (that stands for Battlefield 1942 Game Archive Tool). Source and binaries are available on its website: http://code.google.com/p/bga/ Please, do not hesitate to requ...
