Great idea!

I think you have covered everything. One optional rule that could be tried is a limit on number of terrain squares used ( e.g. 4). This will make the task more manageable in a competition timeframe and forces some compact thinking. Also can take into account any custom textures on existing vanilla objects and custom statics too.

Bfmods tshirts would be hysterical. I'll look into it. :)

I also have something else very exclusive that could be offered as a prize too actually. BF memorabilia....

Needs 2 parts to this - an ongoing catagorised competition and smaller time limited competitions where a theme, arena or other rules could be enforced. (even the 1 terrain square map etc!)

if I felt that I could put together a competition entry in a day or 2 it would be a lot more attractive than creating full maps.

I won a 1942 contest before, and got a gen-u-ine pacific theater combat medal!

Sounds like a neat idea.

BTW though, that prize package is way too much. And why fragnet? They don't have any US servers. The max slots they do is 48, and thats $49.74 USD. Combine that with a t-shirt (at least $20-30), website hosting (cheapest of the bunch here). Maybe give them a "two out of three" option where they can pick what they want.

As it stands proposed, you're looking at ~$85 USD. Thats pretty steep.

May I suggest a preorder of BF3? I think thats what I'm gonna do for wake clan...and an upcoming surprise event. :D

Holy crap, I'll just buy that from you along with an awesome BF Mods T-shirt.
I'd show it off to anybody who comes in my room [the framed poster].
