Win7/BF1942/Screenshots=black pics

Post by MillerMod »

Hi Mates!
I installed bf1942 under win7. Works nice. But! When i take a screenshot ingame, and later i check it with a program calls "Irfanview", i can only see black sreen. Under WinXP this program works perfectly, but not now in Win7. Irfanview can read *tga files, i could watch my beauty pics in WinXP.

Do you have ideas?

No idea, sry, but you might wanna use some screenshot tool for that anyway. The .tga files created with the ingame printscreen functionality have these transparent areas on objects with semi-transparent textures (trees, window panes, clouds, ...). Converting to jpeg means filling these areas with color - IrfanView uses its background color for that (default: #000000), but no matter what color, it looks pretty ugly with most of the pictures.

Here's an example taken from the BG42 website:

I use Fraps for that, but the last free version of it doesn't work with Win7 anymore, AFAIK. :?

It is this : options/properties-settings/viewing/showpng-dds-tga alpha or transparent colour.

That's all.

Sorry for the very late post. :(:(
