How to set up a BF1942 server in LINUX?

Post by MillerMod »

Hi Mates!

Our community would like to set up a BF1942 server on Linux.

I know how to set up in Windows, but in Linux ... i don't have an idea.
We would like to use a server manager on Linux too.

I found the 2 linux server files here : http://www.bf-games.net/downloads/categ ... erver.html
And the server manager here: http://www.bf-games.net/downloads/categ ... _bfrm.html

Please help us!

dont know if this works on linux, but in windows you put a -port 14568 command in the shortcut

Code: Select all

"C:\extra server\BF1942\BFServerManager.exe" -port 14668

Make a copy of your current bf folder (make sure you include your mods/desert_combat folder), edit the ports in 2 or 3 .con files which you can find in /mods/bf1942/settings, start your new server.
