Put avatars to the 'Left' of screen.
Change the forum theme.
Make a quick tutorial page to organize all good tutorials

Put avatars to the 'Left' of screen.

Both these points are around the theme which I am working on. (It looks way too borngin and generic at present) I will get a pretty kickass (imo ) banner up here by the weekend..

Ill post the idea shortly.

nice and BF themes like the current logo but it will replace the whoe footer. The avatar position is.. well I kinda think you get used to it.. but I will swap it if people dont get along with it. this should all happen by the weekend!

Can you be a bit more specific.. sound slike a good idea.. just not sure exactly what you're after.

turned if it to speed up registrations whilst the site is young. I appreciate its a good tool against bot spam though so I will activate it along with the theme chagnges..

Whats about setting the "Who is online" overview up to 15 minutes instead of 5?

These are good ideas and I have been a bit slow actioning stuff as I'm spending every minute on an rcc map

I've changed the editor.js for our forum so I get 2 little popups to enter a URL + description:




In the post you can read:

The BB code is:

It's a bit more comfortable than entering the code by hand.

Wait, there are people who actually use these dialog boxes in forums? I hate them...I type BB code always directly. Faster, smoother and doesn't mess up your carefully formatted post . Same reason why I hate the WYSIWYG-editors that are getting popular in forums...they rarely work as they should for anything more complex than a simple 3 line post..

I do also, WYSIWYG-editors are rubbish.
But sometimes it's just useful to have some adjustments. And for people who type the codes directly... well there is no matter to stop doing so.
It's just an idea.
