Anyone got a server under linux working? ( without emulators)
Windows is no problem since they altered the server files too.

Grrr! Now see loads of games with players on the BF42 server browser, but can't join them!
Not much thought went into this did it...
Can I download the origin version and still run my original disc version of BF42 separately?

Well I looked on origin... Shooters? No... Free games? No
I only found it under demos...
Clicked "Get it now" and all I get is an error: "There was a problem initiating your download. Please try again later."

Yes, just make sure to choose a separate folder (if your origin settings are still default there shouldn't be a problem, just go for the download)

Hm.. maybe try it later :P
I have no Idea what's wrong there.

There is no linux server files as far as i know of, i run a small server with wine, but the performance is awful and it crashes on mapreload if i have the servermanager running.

Well what a fail!
I downloaded the origin version, purely just so there was a load of servers to play on...
Any time I try to play I get invalid CD key, and now....
My original (vanilla) BF1942 doesn't work, crashes when trying to load a game, only mods work.
