I still believe absolutely everyone who wants to play BF42 can really spare the 5-or-so bucks the game costs.

Agree but its not like it can be found on the shelfs, i guess EA want to sell there never game first hand.

Theres Moongamers and some no key servers left, the rest running on fumes.

I understand the argument of "the game is cheap, so buy it."

I bought the game, I have the disks right behind me in my bed's drawer. But I have a no-CD crack on the game because I don't want to use my disks and wear them out. But because I did this, I can't connect to almost all servers due to the key/no CD issue. So I'd love to have a server that allows users like myself.

Due to laziness, I use a NoCD as well. Most other "oldie" game devs have accepted that keeping up a copy protection is pointless and have just removed it with a very late patch (e.g. Warcaft 3 etc.), but BF42 simply is forgotten ;) . I don't see any harm in using NoCD cracks in order to not have to shuffle CDs all the time and keep them from wearing out, but as said, don't be a cheapskate, the 3-5 bucks the game costs nowaday really are worth it. I mean, you'd get a single softdrink for those bucks...

Swaffy, using a NoCD crack has nothing to do with your game key. It's no problem at all to use a NoCD crack and still play on "legit" servers, as long as the key in your registry is a valid one.

Would be great if EA could just release a million keys.. then put up the download somewhere with a nocd exe. simples.

I never fully understood them, thanks.
