game.rfa in a map?

Post by freddy »

in Liberation_of_Caen theres this weird folder, "Bf1942\Levels\Liberation_of_Caen\Bf1942\Game\damage_system" and a file AT.con with redefined material definitions. looks likes a mini game.rfa setup in the map kinda. cant find any pointers for this to be run like in the init.con or anywhere else.

anyone seen this before or have any idea how its supposed to work?

Wow strange! I just looked at this & the damage system inside this at.con is used for the pk40 projectile that's created in that map. I can't see where this file is loaded either. I wonder if this directory structure causes the at.con in the game.rfa to be overwritten with the maps at.con. They appear to be that same to me though.

had been cool if this had worked, would be so easy to change things like point system, damage settings etc per map basis. unfortunately nothing i have tested made any difference ingame so i can only assume its a blunder from the mapmakers side
