How to change the ground color to more darker???

I have a map, called We Land On Wake Island, and i write a night fight version named Day2, but the ground is to light, how can i change it more darker???

Using a photo editor (Gimp, PSP or PS) open up the map and in the Textures folder edit the "tx01x01" type textures by adding a similar color layer over them to make them darker. It will take while but it will be well worth it. Or maybe you can redo it in BC with the sun settings at a low number. Not sure if you can do that in BC though.

much easier is to just open the detail.dds in your textures folder.. make it a little bit darker and repack the map. this will affect all the terrain and make it easier to adjust. This also makes for a much smaller map size as you can just link to the wake textures without having them in your map. You will just need the detail.dds

could be cool for rain drops hitting the ground.. or lightning effects etc..

Yep one of the perks of BF1942. Can't do that in BF2!

Note that the tiling is off due to the aspect ratio of the video that was used. If you use a BIK in the proper res (like 512x512) it will tile much better then the intro video.

just one problem: i can't open dds file by photoshop and acdsee, can some one give me a plugin for PhotoShop or ACDSee???
