I thought you couldnt join internet games with the debug exe? or maybe im missing something.

The debugger doesn't work for online play.

It doesn't give you an error message? (I assume you're running it in windowed mode)

One clarification: are regular maps freezing? Because that would be quite strange.

so nothing works with the new maps?

have you tried removing them and testing?

then adding one at a time to find which is responsible..

I see no reason why adding new maps would cause old ones to stop working. As above, try removing them one-by-one. I assume you have no problems runnign offline?

If regular maps are showing the same problems..... backup your mods folder, reinstall bf1942 including updates, copy mods out of backup folder into new instalation.... A friend of mine experienced the same probs, and after a lot of "trial and error", this was the solution....
