Hey guys. I edited a 3D model of a hand weapon in my 3DS Max 8 program with the Battlefield Tools script installed.
After editing my 3D model and properly naming all of the materials and objects, I tried exporting the mesh. I got this error (image below) and the program only created a complete RS file but no SM file.
How can I go about fixing this issue so that I can properly export meshes? It's useless without an StandardMesh file!

It's perfect tool!!! Works very fine with 3ds Max 2016, even wihout error which I had on 3ds Max 8 2.75 mdt: Call needs function..
But It doesn't want to load vehicles from mods! I'm choosing load mod: FH or BF18 and nothing happens..
It was the quick way to importing vehicles, now I must using my old computer with older max and plugin.
why it doesn't load mods for vehicles?

How did you get it working with Max 2016? I remember trying to install the BF MDT on Max 2015 and it didn't work.
Btw can I you help me out with something? PM.

So you should use tool from script.
I don't know, I just downloaded 2.76 max tool and copied plugins to plugins in max 16 dir and scripts to scripts
Maybe Try Max 16.

Anyone got a fix for windows 10?
Trying to export SM/RS files and it doesnt work properly.
When set 3dsmax to run as admin, it works, but then you cannot drag/drop textures in to the material editor.. any takers?

I'm on 3dsmax 2014
Gonna try 2013
Are you running as admin?
Have you changed any permission settings in win10?
I cant belive windows 10 is so shitty.. not even admins are admins on their own computers without changing all permissions...

I'm running the program as Administrator + Compatibility mode (don't remember which version it is on top of my head). Since I am working on a laptop, it also runs on my dedicated graphics card. I don't think I've changed any permission settings tbh. I'll check.
Haven't had any issues with Max tbh, although BC42 has been extremely slow and crashes a lot.
