Increase View Distance

So with hacks you can increase the view distance, is there i way to do this without hacks?

can you give me a link to this hack? I might be able to reverse-engineer it into a not-hack!

(I need this for BG 42, the AI sees through the thick fog and can snipe, and I cannot tell if I'm looking at a tiger or a rock at close range... :lol: )

Well, without reverse engineering the hack because, well, I cannot open an exe, I looked at my only custom made map, being so crude all it can do is run, well, there isn't really any fog on it! So the solution is to go into the map you want to modify and remove some fog lines, I guess.

Well, culling distance needs to be amped up, then LOD distances for each object I think? Dang, even I want to know how to do this.

It's all in the init.con of your map...

Something like "renderer.viewdistance x". Look it up.
