Need BFSM Help/Guide

Need BFSM Help/Guide

Postby LuccaWulf » Tue Sep 19, 2017 3:16 am

Hey, everyone! I have a few questions about running a server with BFSM (Battlefield Server Manager). I know how to run a server on it and make it show up on the server list in the game. However, I don't know how to use BFSM with some things. I want to be able to add Announcements to my server and have them play about every minute. I know where the Announcements are located in BFSM and where the file is for it (Announcements.con). I cant get this to work, however. I put in text and it won't show up. Do I have to put a command in front of the text like (.say)? Do I need to enable the RemoteConsole and RemoteAdmin? Any help would be appreciated. Also, can someone find a manual on how to use BFSM and the RemoteConsole/RemoteAdmin or can you create a quick guide on how to use them? Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I belive bfsm use RemoteConsole and/or RemoteAdmin to send info to the server, so you might need to enable them. Its only needed in the servers local network so dont open any firewall ports for this.

Thanks for the suggestion freddy! I know you are well known around here and I appreciate the help. I'll be sure to try that and update my experience with the server here. Thanks once again!
