Update Apr 16, 2017:

Working on making the 1st person airplane meshes merged with the 3rd person meshes on more of the airplanes. Had some trouble with the F4U-1d (Corsair) UVW mapping but it works. Preview of the Bf 109E work in progress:

There are vertices which I have to carefully move so the two models fit as seamlessly as I can make it without distorting any shapes. So far the F4U had the hardest models to merge.

Quick little update before I go to bed.

Was working on the Willy and the M3A1 (halftrack) to balance out their center of masses. I made my Willy have a near-perfect front to back balance! No more flipping forward when going down hills. Also the M3A1 used to be so top-heavy that it would flip if you took a turn. Now I actually found myself trying to flip it on the hills of my test map and it just won't roll, so these are some changes I've wanted to do for a very long time and I feel glad to have them completed.

I wonder if this could be used for the standard game as a serverside mod?

I like the idea but I had to move the models in 3DS Max in order to change the center of mass. Then had to edit the code for the vehicle to ensure everything was positioned right, otherwise you got your wheels and driver hanging off to one side. I think you can use setPosition on the engine then move the other stuff accordingly but I tried that first and thought it might bug out. Actually I think I did cause a bug but I don't fully remember.
