Battlefield 1942 Mods, Modding Tutorials & Forums

My name is Matt. You can call me Swaffy. People enjoy giving me nicknames for Swaffy, like: Swaff, Swaffy Waffle, Swaffles, Swaffinator, etc. If you like, you can make your own up.

I'm 18 years old, and a Nondenominational Christian. I have been playing Battlefield games since 1942 was first released. That was when I was about 9 or 10 years old. I began modding in mid 2008. I have been working on my mod, Swaffy'sMod, since December 2008.

What I can do so far, regarding modding:
- Very experienced with scripting [all Archive files, not just Objects.rfa]
- Map editing / Single Player map editing [excluding bots themselves]
- Image editing [I suck at actually drawing the image; I use GIMP 2]
- Creating new weapons/vehicles/other crap using an already-existing object
- Other interesting junk [Two guns sharing ammo, automatic carpet bomb drops, rocket-powered cars, etc.]
- Most animation editing

What I am working on / learning about:
- Single Player bot path editing
- Adding background music for in-game map playing [Hint]
- Fixing animation issues regarding the M1 Garand and Type 5
- Sound file creation [How to make a Low, Mid, and High for a sound file]

What I cannot do:
- Mostly just creating things [Weapon animations, textures, meshes]
- Beat Chuck Norris in a fist fight

Welcome to the forum. Just, for the love of God, don't do every post in blue.

Welcome to the site, Matt. Good to have some more skills onboard. You should find the gaps are filled by the folk here. Perhaps split up your questions for the benefit of the forum and those searching similar solutions in the future.

If you continue to talk pretty and bring enlightenment to the site I can tolerate the blue. Perhaps a little darker though if you must.

Sorry, brother. I have more important things to worry about right now, such as getting a job and being in two worship teams. If I had all the time I wanted to my self, I'd go for being a part of your project. I work on my own mod through time, and build on it as I go.
