Re: SSM -Linux server
Nope. You can rip out textures from the level rfa's if you want (and even more stuff), or pack the data in a different way, or use some tool: different filesize.
I just checked to be sure, small example:
DC SEa Rigs for client is like 22.5 MB. On the Linux server it is only 5.2 MB or so.

Re: SSM -Linux server
O, i see. I never had any luck using patchfiles on the linux server. Try this: * Backup original rfa * Extract that rfa with WinRfa into some folder of your choice, to do some work * Extract the patchfile into the same folder * Pack it all, upload and run the map If that does not work, manually go t...

Re: SSM -Linux server
And on the old install there were no game.rfa and/or objects.rfa modded (to change weapon impact tru matId or stuff like that)? That in itself does not make sense, I know, but I am running a bf42 server now for over 3 years, and I've seen a lot of weird shit. However yours is a new problem to me.

Re: Modifying bf1942.exe
Been searching for a decompiler that actually produced a result when the bf1942.exe was put in. It produced a lot of mumbo jumbo. Maybe you can use this.

Re: First mod for bad company 2..
I too am only stating my opinion. I didn't pay a cent for BFBC2 (by god, no!) and only played the beta and the SP part at a friend. You are judging something you don't play? Cool statement; holds a lot of value. If it had any kind of mod support It won't I always hoped that BF43 would finally be a ...

Re: First mod for bad company 2..
Listen guys, i am not going to get involved into a big discussion about the pro's and againsts of bc2. I will only say that, unlike any other game released in the battlefield series AFTER bf42, this battlefield-style-game has got that "battlefield feeling" again. BFV came close, but the ma...
