Re: Disable the item kit
I observed it to be exactly 30 seconds. I had looked through kits and soldiers code, but found nothing. Could it be hard-coded?

Re: I can`t make a simple edit on a bf 1942 map :(
No, these are just 2 different ways of solving your problem: First method: 1. Open Market Garden in Battlecraft. 2. Before any editing, click file->copy level to, call it Frankies_Market or something like that. 3. Edit your new map and never worry about multiplay or any patches. OR Second Method: 1....

Re: Character instantly leaves from my vehicle
It happened to me once when I had forgotten to add a NetworkableInfo to my PCO. Make sure that sauna_heal_body is defined. The fact that your PCO has no LodObject (or any kind of geometry) may also be a problem. Theoretically it's not needed, but BF doesn't like it when you don't add it. Also, try a...

Re: I can`t make a simple edit on a bf 1942 map :(
You are not a noob, this is the proper (if not the only) way of merging rfa patches. I thought that merging the original map patches in bf1942 mod folder would give you problems with content check... but I guess it's the content that matters here, not how it is distributed. Frankie, have you solved ...

Re: I can`t make a simple edit on a bf 1942 map :(
How about this: Just don't make a patch. What's the point in a patch anyway? Just edit the orginal files. It's so much better and less complicated. The point is not to make patches, but to deal with patches that already are in the levels folder, those made by DICE. http://dzn.org.pl/bc/patche.jpg I...

Re: I can`t make a simple edit on a bf 1942 map :(
it all depends on what's in the patch and what aspect of the map you are editing. For example, patches hardly ever contain heightmaps, so if you only edit the terrain then there's good chance that your edit will work despite the patch bug. I noticed it by accident when I was commiting a small map ch...

Re: I can`t make a simple edit on a bf 1942 map :(
Also, there is a particular problem with the way BC handles map patches (i.e. Market_Garden_000.rfa and Market_Garden_003.rfa.) When loading a map, BF1942 first loads the main file (Market_Garden.rfa) and then, in memory, replaces everything with any data that it finds in patch files. For example, i...

Re: DCF help plz
In that case it looks like a server issue. Here's some more shots: The server has to be restarted after uploading the patch. The patch has to be readable by the server (file permissions.) The server must have content check disabled. Is this a windows or a linux server? Was the file put in the right ...

Re: DCF help plz
Hi Naming is not a problem as long as you don't collide with another file name (i.e. the server already has a _001 patch.) If the server is running Linux, you must rename the file to lowercase, in this case it would be "el_alamein_001.rfa" instead of "El_Alamein_001.rfa". Object ...
